Gone Shootin’

We talked about it Friday and it’s finally here. ‘RoidWeek 2013 officially kicked off today! It will run through friday the 19th and we encourage everyone to get out and shoot this week. There are several places online to post your instant pictures and we are going to make it very easy to follow along with all the amazing work people are posting.

On our home page, you will see two post at the top of the page. The ‘RoidWeek 2013 Group Pool post will be a place you can follow along with the official Flickr group pool and see all the amazing work people will submit this week.

The Snap It See It Group Pool post is just our way of saying thanks to all those that continue to upload their work to our Flickr Group. Everyday we are blown away by the awesome work that gets uploaded to the group pool and it’s time you get to see it too.

Dont forget when uploading to IG and Twitter to use the following hashtags. #snapitseeit, #roidweek2013, #roidweek and #impossibleproject. And to make sure your work is seen by the people that run the accounts, please use @snapitseeit, @polaroidweek and @impossibleUSA

The Impossible Project is going to be giving away a ton of film this week, so that is one Twitter feed you want to be sure to follow!

Here is a recap of the official ‘Roidweek rules pulled from the Flickr page.

# 1: Only photos you HAVE NOT posted on Flickr before are welcome. Give us something new. We delete all photos posted before the start date, and we’ll remove you, too, if you don’t play by this rule.

# 2: Give us your best possible work.

# 3: You get only (2) TWO photos a day. See Rule #1. (PS: In Flickr-world, a day = 24 hours. The Flickr clock resets itself at 8 pm EST)

# 4: It’s five days, Mon – Fri. We realize a week is actually seven days, so please don’t send emails correcting us. We chose Mon – Fri because it’s easier for us to manage as Administrators & Moderators.

# 5: Though we call it “Polaroid Week” any instant film is fine.

# 6: DIGITAL PHOTOS that have Polaroids in them will be deleted. If you don’t have a scanner, you can take a digital photo of your polaroid, but crop out everything but the instant photo, please.

# 7: No Poladroids or Hipstamatics or whatnot! This is a FILM ONLY group, good people.

# 8: If you do not like these rules, or want them changed — then this isn’t the group for you. Please do not join and then complain about them.

# 9: If you do not play by these rules, then you and your photos will be removed from the pool without any notification or explanation.

I know, I know. We’re big meanies. But, we’ve been doing this for a while now, and we want to keep it simple and fun for everybody.

Be sure to check out some of the past pools for inspiration:

Remember to have fun this week and to share your shots!
