We hope everybody had a great weekend. If you came here today looking for a fresh Artist Spotlight, sadly we do not have one today. We have several interviews out, but we are waiting on replies and images to be sent in. This can be a hectic time of year with wedding season and summer vacations. We hate when we miss a week, but trust me, as soon as we have the interviews, we will post them.
Speaking of the weekend and summer, did you get your camera out and snap any instant memories of the vacation you were on? How about a shot of the family or friends hanging out by the pool? Were you out on the lake with your Instax? These are the moments we are looking to feature in a few weeks for our July photo assignment, Summer.
Here in the states, summer is in full swing. Many of you are preparing the BBQs, pool, swimsuits or planning the road trip to a fun vacation destination for the upcoming holiday weekend. Before you head out though, we want to make sure you pack up plenty of instant film to capture your summer adventures.
Recently, we’ve been inspired by many of your projects that challenge you to create on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Not only does it stir up creativity within you, but it also forces you to think outside the box. That being said, we are excited to announce that this month, we are kicking back off our monthly assignments feature. This month’s theme is “Summer.” We’ll round up our favorites along with a new theme each month.
How can you participate? First, on any type of instant film, capture summer as you see it, experience it or what it means to you. Then send us a scan of your photo through the Submit feature here on our website.
To celebrate all of you awesome people and encourage you to participate, we are giving away one pack of Impossible Gen 2.0 B&W 600 film generously given to us by the wonderful folks at Impossible. At the end of the month, we’ll randomly select a name from the pool of this month’s theme participants. Everyone who submits a photo through our website is eligible to win.
We thank everyone for your continued support and look forward to seeing your summer photos!
