What’s in your bag? Bastian Kalous

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I know many people here in the states did a little partying yesterday and hopefully grabbed a shot or two on instant film. We would love to see them if you did!

Today on the blog, we have another installment of “what’s in your bag”.  Everyone likes to take a peak at another photographers setup, and we are no different. Todays bag belongs to Bastian Kalous. If the name sounds familiar, it should. We featured Bastian last year in one of our Artist Spotlight’s. You can find that post here. Bastian is from a small town in Germany called Freyung. From what I’ve seen, it looks like a beautiful are to explore. We saw on Instagram that Bastian was gearing up for another outing and ask if he could share what he was taking along.

If you want to see images from his outings, please be sure to follow along with him at the social links below.

From Bastian:

This time in my bag is a Brixton “Barry” poncho (http://www.brixton.com/brixton-products/brixton-accessories/poncho-blankets/barry-poncho.html) for getting warmed when it’s too cold.

Camera used is a wooden 4×5 Ebony SV45TI (http://www.ebonycamera.com/cam.html)

Lens used is the 90mm 1:4.5 Nikon Nikkor lens (http://www.nikon.de/de_DE/product/discontinued/nikkor-lenses/2006/90mm-f-4-5-sw-large-format-sw-series-lens)

Very important for using this camera is the Manfrotto tripod (http://www.manfrotto.de/294-aluminium-stativ-3-segment).

Film taken along is expired 4×5 Polaroid sheet films from the blue box. He shoots these in the in the 545i Polaroid back and shoots packfilm in the 405 Polaroid back.

For a short while I also bring a digital camera with me. It’s the Olympus OM-D E-M1 with the M. Zuiko pro 12_40mm 1:2.8 lens (http://www.olympus.de/site/de/c/cameras/om_d_system_cameras/om_d/e_m1/index.html) and the Olympus 75-300mm 1:4.8-6.7 lens for zooming in (http://www.olympus.de/site/de/c/lenses/om_d_pen_lenses/m_zuiko/m_zuiko_digital_ed_75_300mm_1_4_8_6_7_ii/index.html).

This is all safe in a leather Kalahari camerabag (http://www.kalahari.de/leather/l-14/).

What i also need is a Flanell shirt, here from Fjällraven (http://www.fjallraven.de/stig-flannel-shirt) and my Brixton Tiller hat (http://www.brixton.com/brixton-products/brixton-mens/brixton-mens-headwear/hats/tiller.html).

That’s all i need for enjoying my trip into the bavarian wilderness…
